Fifteen years of candles, one homepage that finally says so.
SweetlyRecycled has been cutting bottles and pouring candles since 2010, including the signature scents at some of DFW's best-known restaurants. The store told none of that story. We rebuilt the homepage inside Monika's existing Shopify theme, no replatforming, no downtime.
The Brief
A great product buried in a default theme.
SweetlyRecycled hand-pours soy candles into rescued bottles in Farmers Branch, and it blends the signature scents for Las Palmas, Cork and Pig, Ida Claire, and Whiskey Cake. Fifty scents, refills by weight, private label for businesses. That's a lot of story, and the old homepage was a slideshow and a paragraph.
The constraint was real: this is a live Shopify checkout with years of orders behind it. No new theme, no touching the catalog during the rebuild, and the store had to keep selling the whole time.
So we built the new homepage as sections that drop into the existing theme. Full-bleed photography of the real candles. A restaurant credibility strip. The four ways to buy, each as its own path into the catalog. How a bottle becomes a candle, the refill program, a scent library, and a private-label pitch, all in the brand's own voice.
Then we worked on the store pages behind it: a storewide fix so the add-to-cart button is actually visible, product titles cleaned of stale promo text, and a plan that groups forty-five products into five collections that match the Rosewood and Grant site next door.
