Two brands, one roof, one website.
Monika has been pouring candles as SweetlyRecycled since 2010, and she opened Rosewood and Grant in the same building. One site had to carry both brands at equal weight, without either one feeling like an afterthought.
The Brief
Two audiences with nothing in common.
SweetlyRecycled has been hand-pouring candles in Farmers Branch since 2010, including the signature scents at Las Palmas, Cork and Pig, Ida Claire, and Whiskey Cake. Monika then opened Rosewood and Grant at 2505 Valley View Lane: a gift shop, candle studio, and community event space, all on one corner.
That's two audiences with almost nothing in common. One is hunting down a candle they smelled at dinner. The other is a neighbor looking for somewhere to hold a birthday party. Monika's brief was that the two brands run side by side, with neither one demoted.
So we built one site that runs two visual identities. The candle side goes dark and warm. The shop and event side goes light and editorial. The theme switches per section, so a visitor always knows which brand they are standing in, and Monika only has one site to maintain instead of two.
Nine pages cover the candles, the shop, events, vendors, the story, updates, and how to visit. We also built a separate landing page just for the candle making classes, because the workshops are the bulk of the business and homepage traffic was never going to convert them on its own.
